And unlike the AAF, finances weren't an issue. Players got their full season's salary and have their medical insurance.

Doesn't make economic sense to keep something operating if you don't have an end in sight. They have major TV backing and enough in the reserves for two more seasons.

It's going to be back in 2021 per a press release. They couldn't finish the season.


They don’t even know about their 2021 fate. Vince is already losing money with no live gate revenue coming in from WWE, he doesn’t have endless resources to put into XFL. And given the uncertainty of the sports landscape, if the big 4 have to push back their seasons to the spring of 2021, guess what league the networks will throw in the bushes with the quickness to accommodate them?

They are in big trouble. The football gods hate Vince.
