Xscape Should HEADLINE joint tour with SWV- Kandi

After the buzz from Verzuz, the idea of a joint concert between Xscape and SWV was proposed. All of them seemed game to do it even though there were was some apprehension from Latocha of Xscape. When both parties sat down to discuss it, they all seemed all in, until ... Kandi said Xscape should headline. When questioned by members of SWV as to why Xscape should headline, Kandi says that Xscape has headlined all of their own shows. Tiny's rationale was that she and Kandi are stars on their respective reality shows and this somehow translates into them being bigger than SWV now.

SWV has more hits from their first album than Exscape has for their entire career. If I were SWV, I'd open for them and blow the roof off the place every night. Then I'd let them go on and do the 4 songs everyone knows them for. They'd see the light eventually.

What’s a headliner in this case? Just who goes last? They draw the same demographic, I grew up on both their music and would be there to see both and expect similar length sets, doesn’t matter who goes first or last. I doubt anyone coming to see them cares that SWV music charted higher, most of us listened to both of them so we know both discographies.


Edit: and Kandi and Tiny too old to be talking reality tv and social media = more important when it comes to the music. No one is buying your tickets because you act a fool on tv every week, they want to hear the music.

I was thinking the same thing even if Kandi and Tiny are performing "No Scrubs" and "Bill's, Bills, Bills" during Xscape's set, it wouldn't make much of a difference beyond the shock of some people attending not knowing Kandi and Tiny wrote those songs.
