Eminem was what? Started off as an underground rapper who paid all his dues, laced his tracks with legit skill, annoyed conservative cacs more than any artist perhaps ever (and this wasn't like the usual petition and rally shyt of today, this was real work), never went outside of really branding himself other than music or selling out and always preserving his art. Eminem NEVER tried to change the game, he kept to himself and was all about his own shyt. His biggest flaw? Probably the singles and how they didn't fit the 'urban radio' playlists.
But everyone still complained and hated.
Then we have Macklemore. Never paid his dues in hip hop, his tracks laced with bullshyt double time raps and hooks not done by him to cover up his lack of skill, the posterboy for white america, all over the radio, tv and commercials and now changing the entire values of a culture that isn't strong enough to fight back because the army behind macklemore (cacs and gays) are too powerful.
