City of Angels :blessed:
That every single Wrestlemania main event from WM 10 on would have been some combination of Hogan/Warrior/Savage/Piper/Dibiase until them dudes died or retired due to injury :mjlol:

Them WM mains at 11/12/13 were trash, but in hindsight you needed those to build guys like Taker and Hickenbottom and Bret into household names.

If Hogan never went to WCW, you think Austin or Rock ever gets put over?

"Nah, that doesn't work for me brother, Rock's not ready"

Wrestlemania 14 main event would have for real been Hogan vs. Savage w/ Tyson in his corner, but Tyson turns on Savage to help Hogan win his 16th world title. Austin and Hickenbottom wrestling on the mid-card

We're basically watching the modern-day version of that in WWE today.

In all likelihood if Hoegan never went to WCW dudes like Austin and Rock would have gone to ECW long before WM14

:ehh: Can't disagree there.

I really wish somebody would do a comprehensive Butterfly Effect of American professional wrestling from the 80s to now. Damn near every major moment of the past 30 years could have been changed by alternate decisions or events (aside from the obvious "this guy wins instead"). You have guys that would could even still be alive or at a completely different place in life based on results from a "fake" sport. It's really intriguing when you think about it.

If WCW didn't exist, WWE would've been out of business 10 years ago

it took the Kliq South to force Vince to get with the times and allow Kliq North to start the attitude era

True facts. Hate it or love it we gave ya'll NWO and the Attitude Era. Stop letting your virgin rage blind you folks :manny:

Interesting OP, I never thought about it like that really.

The Undertaker still would have moved up...that "streak" definitely never comes into being though, he would have eventually lost to Hogan at WM.

Hogan would still have needed to heel turn eventually...the Attitude Era wasn't just about a few personalities moving things forward...the mid/late 90's had an essence to it...."tweeners" were coming one way or another. I just wonder what his heel turn would have looked like without the NWO. I understand that he did in fact start heeling it up a bit slightly before the full blown NWO turn, and I also understand that most consider it to have been cheesy. It's possible that he still gets phased out eventually...he may have looked like the late version of Stone Cold.

Oh, and Brock would be the first guy unfazed by this. Austin/Rock/Mankind/HBK/Bret/Hunter/Kane/Etc would all get completely different careers, but Brock in 2002 is still getting his exact push. This is partially due to time (I mean his debut was in 2002, Hogan's era would be old by that time regardless) but also due to look/talent/Vince's Homosexuality. This is getting more complicated and dorky than necessary, but if we're looking at it from a sci-fi perspective of being a timeline with diverging paths, Brock represents a constant in a way, he resets the timeline back to normal, so to speak....:manny: Batista/Orton/Cena also probably get similar careers to what they have now.

I'm iffy on King Kurt, his debut came in 99...his early career is likely still hurt by the old-timers.

Hogan was already losing drawing power. Warrior was a failure on top and had fukked off already to go be weird in the desert. Savage didn't like being on the road and went into semi-retirement. Piper had gone into semi-retirement. DiBiase was slowing down as well.

I think Coke Boy would've continued on like he had for the most part trying to push a "New Generation", although without the invention of Nitro, Coke Boy probably would've never changed his booking style and format of the shows and would have driven himself out of business.

Those guys all left WWF or were put on the shelf for reasons other than WCW (Injuries, failed drugs tests, time off)

You could also make the argument that they would have really pushed the new generation idea further if that was the case.

Also there would have been some NWA remnant rival promotion nationally
