When I refer to "we" and "us" im not talking about black people, im talking about nikkas in the hood.

I dont classify myself in the same category as nikkas from the burbs yall subhuman

Again I ain't from the burb either breh! But to promote, glorify, and embrace the negative hood aspect of our culture is retarded. nikka who the fukk would stay in the hood if they had a choice? I agree once you get out you gotta give back and help another nikka make it out but this Hood till i die shyt only sound good in music videos nikka! nikkas is dying over nickel and dime hustles how the fukk is that life worth living

Fam the hood is our lifestyle and its more than just crime.
Hip Hop is a culture, a culture that rose and started in the hood.
Just because you keep the hood in hip hop dont mean you glorify everything negative.
shyt even if you did who gives a fucc, its real life.

I agree with TS.

fukk the skinny jeans and metrosexual bullshyt.

Real Hip-Hop is beats, rhymes, and life.

Shame at nikkaz respecting Drake as a real MC.

And no, this has nothing to do with The Huxtables, Obamas, and random "high-achieving" Black folks who want to be apart of Whitey's system.

I'm talking about Hip-Hop as an extension of the Black power movement, even up through the street cats who understood where the Black militants were coming from, but were more about getting money as hustlers on the street and saying fukk the establishment from that position.

Either way, we shouldn't be pandering to lame ass White people's(not cool White folks, who actually would agree with me) sensibilities.

So now we're gonna forget that poor, "street" black folks didn't start Rock, Blues, and the first original American art form, jazz?

The threads you make :snoop:

Agreed, and we got screwed in all those occasions, so what's your point?

Let em take Hip-Hop too?

Please.

25 years from now, people gonna be saying Eminem invented rap and completely erase Hip-Hop's true purpose, which was to give street kids from The Bronx, Brooklyn, etc. . . an opportunity to have a say in a society that treated them like shyt.

My point is that aside from a few artists who have been taken advantage of, no one really took those genres away from us--we just lost interest and went on to create other art forms.

You got some hate and intolerance in ya blood. The same niccas that scream "real hip hop" are the same ones that diss Nas Chuck D Lupe and those kind of mcs cause of their image of being "aoft" and worship them ignant ass niccas like Plies Maino n Chief Keef cause they "real "

You only like hip hop that is of your limited range. Hip Hop is a freedom of expression where both the smart and the dumb alike. Problem is the dumb niccas want to dominate over everything.
