i was about to say this sounds like a movie premise with the coach taking like a 1 star level bball team and then over course of season they get better
then have some hard times in middle. maybe a player get hurt or something. they rally. it be an underdog on team the coach sees a lot of potential in or they an unlikely hero winning the team a game. they eventually lose in championship tournament
