He's out of shape and was consuming a ton of sugar, of course he'd end up in the hospital. Simply blaming the energy drinks is silly when he himself proclaimed he drank a bunch of sodas and ate a bunch of sugary snacks.

I got a friend from when I worked in Med Surg that became a dialysis nurse, she said energy drinks are incredibly hard on the kidneys. I personally only drink tea or coffee to wake me up, I ain’t touching those drinks.

I worked the 10pm to 6am shift at an giant commercial bakery for a few yrs in my early 20s and it was rough. This was before energy drinks were invented.
I was balling when I went to a 2pm to 10pm slot. An older gent at the bakery that knew my pop from previously working together in a steel mill told me how to maneuver company and unions rules to make the move ahead of others with more seniority than me. Many elders have guided me in my life!
