Yes his goal is to go pro and he will do that next year. He made some big boy throws in that Georgia game he's been practicing and watching from the side lines what a great QB (Tua) does.

i think he should have sat this season. I think Saban screwed him by burning his opportunity to redshirt. That was done on purpose especially in the event something happened to Tua, like yesterday.

Strictly football wise, of course He should have transferred back after the spring when it was apparent that Tua waa going to be the starter.

Off the field though, dude was already on track to graduate early so i get why he wanted to ride it out.

he could have done both, graduated and still have 2 to play.

It was Jalen’s decision to burn his redshirt not Saban’s.

He could’ve sat out the whole season and still came in yesterday and kept his redshirt but he didn’t want to. :manny:

i mean, where was he gonna transfer to that would make him that competent of a qb from the pocket

most of places folks want him to go is maybe spread, short passing locations. do folks really think he wouldve gotten that much better

the kid wanted to stay, respect his decision and let this go already

It’s been a long year,” Hurts said live on ESPN from Alabama’s football facility. “I can look back after the national championship game. I’m in the hotel room with my parents, my brother and my sister. And I’m in my parent’s -- my mom’s and dad’s -- arms crying. I look up at my dad and said ‘What are we going to do now?’ He told me, he looked me in my eyes and said, ‘We are going to fight.’

Hurts explained his motivation for staying at Alabama and not taking a redshirt to preserve a season of eligibility.

“Just me being the competitor that I am,” Hurts said. “I was raised to compete. All throughout high school, you can ask my high school teammates and my dad was my high school coach and he always harped on competing and fighting to the finish. I think my parents did a great job
