And Russia, like us, has no understanding, control or stake in the tribal war that has gripped this region for the last 1300 years. The idea of gaining power in this region is a mirage, with KSA's clear conflict of interest and documented appetite for supporting Wahhabist extremism, as well as the fact that the last ~14 years have pretty much destroyed anything in the two countries worth taking control of. I still believe 100% ISIS is an arm of KSA's fundamentalist think tank..... the most direct way of dealing with them would be through THAT channel, not boots on the ground.

Obama could have easily when he had the majority in Congress created a Marshall Plan type of legislation to economically benefit war torn Iraq. These extremists can hide behind their own perspective of their religions as to why they are doing these things but lets be honest, as I learned many years ago always look at money as the key root of any issue. Bottom line.

Just leaving Iraq in the dust without trying to economically make up for what you caused pissed off alot of people even more.
