I said I was in charge of the geographic coordination of all transportation vehicles for a multimillion dollar company. I was a shopping cart pusher at a grocery store
When i did i lied my ass off. Every single person i know who has a different last name or who owns a business went down as a reference. Used to really sell myself typing all kinds of long drawn out bullshyt.
I always tell the story of a guy at a company I worked for in college who lied to the moon on his résumé, and when they called him for the job he said he made $30k more than what he actually did, and they offered him 12k on top of that figure.
He literally doubled his salary in a week, and he's been working there for years.
I say, as long as you can speak well and are able to do the qualities you suggest on your resume, say whatever you'd like (within reason ). I know some people who literally quadrupled their salary. The resume, networking, and verbal game afforded them the opportunity and they ran wit it.
