YBN Almighty Jay is now being investigated for purportedly stealing New Jersey rapper Skinnyfromthe9’s chain, Rolex, and cash, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, YBN Almighty Jay was filming a video on Thursday in Chatsworth, California with another rapper, when Jay and his entourage allegedly swiped the aforementioned goods after they shot the last scene. The missing items were a $40,0000 chain, $20K Rolex, and $20K in cash. Now YBN Almighty Jay has been named a suspect for felony grand theft by the police.
In surveillance footage obtained by TMZ, two men walk up to Skinny, who’s sitting in a Range Rover, and start tussling; the two men then run. TMZ’s sources later said Skinny’s jewelry and cash were being used in a skit for social media.
TMZ also shared that Skinny invited YBN Almighty Jay to stay at his home a few days before the incident, while the two worked on music together.
It looks like Skinnyfromthe9’s also has an ongoing feud with another rapper: he and Zoey Dollaz have been beefing ever since the former was released from jail late last year. They've been taking shots at each other ever since, but recently it's escalated to physical violence.
On Feb. 10, Zoey uploaded a video of him and his entourage chasing Skinny out of a Los Angeles studio after bumping into each other.
Skinny later responded to the now-deleted Instagram story video, writing, “Noey Dollas fat ass don't want no problems.” He continued, “He tryna' record shyt for clout cause his career a dub. I said wassup bruh he ain't want no problems. Y'all fat ass n****s tried to jump me cause n****s know my hands RIGHT.”
It seems like Zoey just wanted to have a chat with Skinny and nothing more. Still, he clearly read the situation differently: Zoey “emerges from the shadows and takes his phone out and starts talking shyt,” Skinny said, adding, “We can do whatever you wanna do, but n****s wanna do shyt for clout.”
