Yeah, this was ridiculous.

It's one of the reasons I don't like the blanket advice of "just cold approach". You need to be mentally stable too, and learn how to take rejection and walk away. These young dudes (and some older) don't care about boundaries or seeing the woman as an actual person, instead they only see her as a conquest. Because of this, the idea of her saying "no" doesn't register as an option. In his mind the assumption is "yes" and when he doesn't get it he doesn't know to process it.

He even said something about "not lacking confidence" but what he displayed was not 'confidence' instead it was arrogance and forcefulness. The traits of a rapist are those who don't like hearing no, the people who get easily upset at rejection and instable individuals who think the world owes them something.
