Literally i would have your kids try everything and see what sticks like someone else said in this thread.

Even if they don't continue they at least have a wide variety of experiences.

Myself growing up, I played Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Band, Debate Teams, 4H Clubs (Archery & Skeet Shooting) Golf, and Cub Scouts.

I've done most of the same stuff for my daughter, except the 4H. I highly recommend summer camps as well.

Son is 10 he does Russian Math- highly correlated with high SAT scores. Piano- great for memory, cognitive processing and executive functioning, and great for practicing something difficult over a prolonged period of times and expectation and mastery. Flag football- in season, Soccer,-travel basketball-in season, snow boarding- in season, Brazilian jui jitsu.

Daughter is 5 and she also does Russian Math. She does piano, dance, gymnastics, ice skating, swimming, and we plan on also doing skiing, and tennis in the Summer and track.

They also both have Spanish tutors and went to Spanish immersion private school then public school, so we are keeping up with the language. My son is older and is fluent. We also signed up my son for swimming. My daughter goes to a Black swim school and she is progressing so well, we put our son in it- and he had swimming lessons since he was in mommy and me swim class.

m y wife and I also do extra curricular workbooks for improved academics for both our kids. We make sure they are both 2 grade ahead so that class isn’t the first time seeing a subject.

It’s a lot of coordinating but worth it.
