I'm scared, and these sites got me looking at ridiculous steps that make me think it's cheaper to buy a new one.

I know someone got the answer I need :sadbron:

i was gon say when i use to wear fitteds, i would just buy a new one after while because once they get washed, the shape is never the same. even if a ball cap washer is used, at least the fitted i had in particular won't

heres the ball cap washer that some people use after watchin' their fitted

What if you wash it the OG way? sink, bar of soap and toothbrush

no clue...but i've had fitteds shrink on me just from getting some rain on em...and I don't mean getting dumb soaked either....I use a rag and wipe down all of the ones I have no and they never shrink...

Do you use small amounts of soap? And do you clean the entire inside?

nah I don't use soap....none of my fitteds get that dirty....just a wet rag to wipe down and a lint roller to take off any hair/lint/etc. If they ever get to the point where soap is needed imma just cop a new one cause I don't trust what soap and water will do to the material..

I take an old tooth brush, get it wet, then put some laundry detergent on it, and go over it. While it's drying put something in it to keep the shape; you could stuff it with towels or put it over a pan, just anything that's going maintain the shape. As long as you have something in there to keep the shape you shouldn't have any issues with shrinking. I've never had any problems doing this with my hats.
