Its not the same...but the fact that we have a professional sports team in 2014 named "The Redskins" is something we will look back on in a few hundred years and proclaim absolutely fukking ridiculous

Forget looking back and proclaiming it ridiculous. It's fukking ridiculous right now. It's actually mind blowing that the name hasn't been changed yet.

The worst part about it is that Snyder had the audacity to say that it's about "respecting the tradition of the name." You know, as opposed to respecting an entire race of people. What a clown.

Sorry but the Cleveland Indians are far worse than the Redskins with an even worse mascot. The fact that they are called "Indians" and use this as a mascot is even more laughs. You can't just single out the Redskins and say thats the problem.

I and others addressed this topic a year ago in its own thread. you can look it up if you want to see my view on it. in short hand, the Cherokee people only wanted to kick out people that couldn't prove they were Cherokee , and if they couldn't prove they where Cherokee they must of not been active members for generations . just want to be around when the money comes.

If you go to a Cherokee reservation, events, meetings, dances, etc you see zero black people . when the money is being handed out , black people show up like pac and janet jackson did at the bbq on poetic justice. on some fake ish.

unless there are set conditions that you must participate in meetings and events to receive the money, then they deserve the money.
