Welcome to the democratic party. They've been the party the Republicans used to be since at least the Carter days. After they took that L with Walter Mondale against Reagan they've given up on unions, families, etc.
The kind of president we wanted Obama to be will eventually show up when America realizes that socialism isn't the boogeyman that Republicans have been trying to turn it into whilst drifting the country into fascism. If the socialists in the democratic party can drift it further leftward, things like reparations, a public option etc. Will be put on the table.
I hope she wins. She understands the only way to beat Republicans is to leave no doubt as to how much they're hated. The election victory had to be within a massive margin. People don't want to live under a protestant theocracy.
