watched it when i was a lil kid , but thought it was dumb.


Just watched it with my daughter and I Swear it's a BedWench training video.

She has the strongest warriors checkin for her n shyt.


But she literally follows around this blond hair white guy and even risk her life and her peoples life for this dude.

It's like a cartoon musical - with her even singing songs about these cac and about how she's not really feeling her own people.

It's based on a true story..never seen the cartoon but Pochahontas was a real Indian Princess who married a cac and went off to Europe

She never fell in love with John Smith. She was simply a guide. In fact she was I believe 14 at the time. It wasn't until later (before disney) that white society popularized the story into some story about some white guy falling for some exotic indian woman.

Both the movie and the myth are propaganda. The real Pocahontas was basically taken captive and brainwashed... this nonsense sullies the name and the life of the real woman. At the same time, while we can recognize her as a victim, I wouldn't ever look at her as a positive figure. She "chose" to leave her people.
