I think so. They even casted a kid that kinda resembled Forrest.
I get it but I hated the way that Jenny character was portrayed in that movie. She was a hippy and free spirit and obviously heavy into the drug scene and promiscuous behavior.

Don’t you feel that was the point of Forrest’s character? All the obstacles he faced didn’t really impact him.. or at least he didn’t let it bother him.
