-a criminal is a criminal,
-a poor is a poor,
-a fool is a fool,
-a teenage is a teenager,
-fashion is etc...but how many times have race and cultural deviance theory been used to support a stereotype of an entire race, used as the "main" reason certain communities suffer, used as a reason why members of a community [regardless of act] should be stop & frisk, and used to justify why an actor will fit a fictional role over another

Until race is not an important factor in our society, then it is intellectually dishonest and cowardly to disregard the "possibility" of a race angle in any situation, and to ignore how the existence of that angle may allow certain stereotypes to skew/contaminate a person's ability to reason objectively
