K'lal Yisraʾel
Suraʾ or Pum-b'ditaʾ, two major Babylonian cities located in Mesopotamia near the River Euphrates. Naturally, though, I have an affinity toward both because my ancestors headed the academies of Suraʾ and Pum-b'ditaʾ in the 8th century.

Alexandria egypt:

Lots of arabial and greek baddies :whew:
No Greeks. Just Arabs. I'd love that place about 1000yrs earlier than that but them Arabs would make you feel like its 1860 Mississippi. Even at that point they had already started their slave networks.:francis:

Personally,I'm trying to get my way to the Mayan Capital in Titucaka. Dope place, comfortable climate, cool architecture, and decent science. Imma try to get ahead of the soccer curve and start the Mayan Premier league off with that kicking game they got down there. :blessed:

Also, if we are being honest Mayans, Indians, and Arabs had the food game on lock. Anywhere else in Africa, Europe or Asia and you might as well be eating sand. So i'll be eating pretty good.:ohlawd:

The mezo-american Colombian exchange revolutionized food breh.

Beyond that, India has been heavy with spices since biblical times.

Arabs were the middlemen between india and the west, hence why they also had good food at the time. China could cook, but i argue that they developed a lot of that after Ghengis's children raided India.

What is there to disagree with? Surely you dont mean to argue that Scotland, Mongolia, and Guinea-Bissau were the center of culinary excellence in 700AD?:unimpressed:

I don't know. Just about anywhere would be trash for someone used to the luxuries and conveniences and facilities of the 21st century. It's a question of picking the least trash place. For me that would have to be south India. I have an outside chance of not having a language barrier if I wind up there. Plus the weather would be good. I don't want to go somewhere too cold. Not before the invention of central heating, certainly. The food would be agreeable and to my taste as well. It was a golden age for south India at the time. Imperialistic expansion, trade wealth flowing, great harvests with no famine, no pandemic outbreaks, a flourishing intellectual and cultural scene. I would expect to find a society that didn't have too many problems.

The only problem I can envision with medieval south India is that because its tropical there would be lots of insects. In a world before insect repellent and pest control were invented, that could be a serious lifestyle problem. The fukking mosquitoes alone would drive me crazy. Not to mention I would probably catch malaria or dengue fever or something from mosquito bites

What I would really love to do is have a time machine and a drone. A time machine so I could come and go as I please between today and any time in the past. A drone so I can hide somewhere, not affect anything, and just watch. Fly it over the site of a battle and watch the action from a bird's eye view through the drone camera. It would be captivating to watch from a distance.
