the hacking is about the computer doing the dna analysis, not them injecting malware into a person. i found it interesting because it looks like a crafty way to steal or change data on a researcher's computer or if you're a criminal or someone working for a criminal you leave some hacked DNA at a crime scene and when it gets analyzed your malware gives you access to the lab's computers and then you alter your (or your client's) results.
