There isn't lol. Kids are listening to the same adult rap that we all listen to.

Many aren't listening to that kids bop shyt :dead:
parents actually make an effort to censor the media their children take in
when I was a kid, I didn't even know there were "dirty" versions of songs
I thought Nas' Made You Look hook went like "oh SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT, aw made you look" instead of "they SHOOTIN" :mjlol:

Parents these days don't do that much.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you and the OP that parents should try to control their kids but these days with the Internet there is basically no censorship which is why I think that rap needs more uplifting songs and not just g shyt.

rap, other than drill stuff, isn't even that "hard" anymore
everyone is just a millionare gun enthusiast with a penchant for pharmaceuticals
if you feel like being violent or anti establishment, you'd be like that whether you were listening to rap or pop lol

Just 2? Man in the 90s they had way more than that. We are basically living off of scraps. :wow:

Yea some kids are fukked up no matter the music scene but seeing these young dudes get into rap so early I see many who get swayed into it via music.

Got them glorifying the hood instead of trying to get out or improve.

When it gets to this:
Teen Rapper Baby CEO A Menace To Society?

It isnt just music.

the mainstream rap industry is like how pop is now
there is a TON of rap that doesn't fit the profile, but it's buried and all the attention, time and money is spent on the same big 10 acts

Thats a bad thing when those top 10 acts are only in the G lane

Without uplifting rap being put out there is nothing making being a conscious brotha as cool anymore.

you're not going to get the parents or parent to be a parent when they are mentally on the same level as the child. If the "parents" don't see an issue how do you expect them to parent?

I have an old high school friend who is into death and black metal. Yesterday he took his 9 year old daughter to her first concert, thinking it was a proud moment and right of passage, had her wearing a Pantera skull t-shirt with "Cowboys from Hell" on it.

She was probably surrounded by people drinking, cursing and smoking weed , you know all the good things children should be around. Now tell me does he sound like a good parental figure?

Exactly

Like the white kid that said GTA made him kill people

:dead:

People been savages before hiphop

Actually this day and age is best time to be alive.

I guess Conquistadors was bumping that new Lil Durk :manny:

They had their own "drill music", songs they would sing to prepare them to kill "savages"

Not different from the call and response songs that people in modern military sing before committing atrocities.

It's hilarious how many of you think these songs have no effect on people psychologically because "I listened to a song and didn't kill anyone"

yeah but thats how it is
you dont make money by appealing to what people should do, you make it by appealing to what they can't do
like being a rich, lawless rebel that takes no disrespect from anyone, that has power and bytches
plus uplifting music isn't what kids like lol, they like fun shyt
you think little girls wanna listen to taylor swift sing about the importance of studying? :russ:

Back in the 90s labels pushed less fun uplifting shyt on the radio compared to now and kids was cool with it. :yeshrug:

The reality is that whatever is made popular by these labels and forced on the radio is what the kids will listen to.

Its the labels who whose to push the poison into the community via the radio. They have media control. Right now they re pushing g shyt and the kids are following and conscious kids have less room to breath in their youths.

Man, woman, and child
I was 13 listening to Biggie get head on wax. I was 12 listening to Cube kill cops on wax. I was 12 listening to Onyx say throw your guns in the air. And I had all kinds of other shyt. You kno who bought me all those albums? My mother. She didn't care cuz she knew I was being raised right. I've always let my son listen to whatever. He's 16 now and was one C from the honor roll. Point is you can't blame the music one bit. a$$holes been raising a$$holes long before hip hop

They had the intent to kill :francis:

People kill because they want to

People think so negative of hip hop but are the main promoters of negative hip hop

You're a Young Thug fan :francis:

Why didn't you kill anybody yet?

I think they liked it because it's fun, not cuz it's uplifting
the problem is there is a prepackaged identity that rappers adhere to for some reason and genuine self expression in mainstream lyrics is almost nonexistant but hey
parents should just make their kids read books and play sports and shyt :yeshrug:
