There are many fun and uplifting rappers out there putting out material that these labels wont promote lol.I think they liked it because it's fun, not cuz it's uplifting
the problem is there is a prepackaged identity that rappers adhere to for some reason and genuine self expression in mainstream lyrics is almost nonexistant but hey
parents should just make their kids read books and play sports and shyt![]()
The kids mostly listen to what is put on the radio above all else. They will change from fun to serious if the radio promotes it.
That problem that you mention is because the labels are stopping them from expressing themselves if its uplifitng.
