Again, I never said anything against parents supporting their kids.

Im just exposing how big of an effect these white ran labels that control rap music has on these kids.
idk mans, I don't think it does anything but give young people and adults who want to do escapist stuff like drugs or lash out in various ways an identity to latch onto
which has been true for every era of music imo

It gives them more room to do what they do and influence others to join them to be cool. Basically exposes others to that life.

Which is why I stress that uplifting rap needs to be promoted more so those who are into uplifting can get support too and others can get exposed to the uplifting side of life thanks to raps far reach.

Of course because people who go out robbing and shooting people have a "ruin my community" playlist playing on their iPod while they're doing it. :beli:

They're not listening to Taylor Swift when they're ruining their communities.

it exists in the open though
stopping people from being criminals by hiding the opportunites to commit crimes isn't a good crime prevention tactic
idk
they're never going to do the work to help people, it's not their job

That's the problem. There's not enough good role models. With or without hip hop that's a problem

A house on fire is a problem, with or without adding fuel to the fire, a lot of this music is simply adding fuel to the fire causing the house to be consumed at a more rapid pace, but people are right in stating that the added fuel isn't the root cause of the house being on fire.

Fatherlessness period is the problem. Many of these rappers grew up without fathers

The numbers don't lie

Reduce the number of OOW births, build strong families, stress education and entrepreneurship--you'd see the Black community transform very quickly.

It's going to take Black men and Black women overhauling everything we value and take as the norm in Black culture.

Making sure that g rap doesn't get too much power will help.

Not saying it's the only thing we should do but it will help regardless.

You are right that White ran labels won't do work to help people which is why we need black ran labels to become more powerful because they are known to help our people.

Rap and Gang culture fills the void in a lot of these young boys hearts and minds.

Rampant fatherlessness is eating away at the fabric of the Black community. It'll consume us all if we don't combat it.

Even if you raise your Black son or daughter the right way, they'll still have to go to school and interact with fatherless children. They'll eventually get sucked in.

Or, one of those fatherless knuckleheads might go upside your head one day and rob you or take your life.

I will NEVER understand why people who hate rap music post in a "Sports, Hip-Hop, and Piff" forum :dead:

I started posting on :hamster: way back when I was a teenager and used to :cape:rap music something serious.

But now that I'm :flabbynsick:-er and wiser I can't deny that it's a negative influence on a lot of black youth. I hate to have to say it, but denial isn't really helping anybody.
