lmao damn wtf did you do?
was done with my work for the day so i went on one of the office desks away from the camera and played(about 20mns) with my phone until my shift was over. somebody must have snitched on me. :beli:
I've had 20 jobs and I've quit all of them except one. which was rubbish and illegitimate anyways.

I'll just say this. If you don't want to work a 9-5, work hard AF so you don't have to have one.
:yeshrug:
already got another job but getting fired like this is still :dahell:

Nah, but I've been fired at least three or four times. I just got a call earlier telling me I don't need to come into work tonight though because it won't be busy, but I don't think they're tryna get rid of me yet, lol.

Never.
I've been terminated four times. :manny:
First was lack of work. I got offered to work the same job again a couple of months later, but I declined since I planned to go back to college. Had they offered me sooner, I would have taken it.
Second was a decrease in workforce. The company laid off a number of employees all at once. We alI got a severance package. That was nice. They had these meetings to help people adjust, find new jobs and stuff. It was sad to see older folks in that meeting who had homes, family and kids and stuff. I was single and living in an apartment at the time.
Third was the company was deep in the red. I was fortunate not to be laid off in the first round of lay-offs, but got laid off in the second round. I saw it coming and was ready for it. The first round took everyone by surprise.
Fourth was something I'd rather not talk about, but my supervisor was cool enough to help me out and hook up with another department and job.

No matter what job u work at, unless u own ur own business, there's always gonna be that threat of a layoff or being fired hanging over ur head. It really is a depressing thought when u think about it which is why I applaud the people who have the balls to buy a house when working 9-5. One job loss and just like that u can lose ur home or be so deep in debt u can't recover. Yall should check out the movie 'company men' with Ben affleck to get an idea of how close the everyday man is to having his life turned upside down.

Job insecurity is by design. When job insecurity is high, workers are less likely to seek changes like higher wages, unions, among other things. It's also why many people are only one missed paycheck away from being in serious financial trouble.
