You ever have a documentary ruin a movie for you?

The early reviews of The Imitation Game are good and some are throwing Oscar buzz all over it.

But since I already watched Codebreaker (2011) on Netflix, I have no desire to watch The Imitation Game.
I already know the Alan Turing story.



I hate when this happens.
To this day I've never watched The Blind Side because I read the book a year before it came out and I feel like the movie will be a letdown.

I get that you're trolling and yeah, just because you know what's going to happen doesn't mean you still can't enjoy a movie about it.

That's true.

But unless this thing is going to be acted tremendously well and there's some incredible cinematography or something....I'm just not drawn to it.

I love WW2 movies, but I gravitate towards stories/movies I wasn't familiar with, like Sophie Scholl: Final Days, or The Counterfeiters

Ive seen alof of movies that were based on docs ive seen but the first one to come to mind is Monster

i think i saw 2 docs on her before i saw the movie

didnt ruin the movie for me though

another one i just thought of is Paid in Full and again knowing what happened didnt ruin that movie for me either
