i have a friend i went to uni who after the whole Occupy Movement became a Squatter. UK law was changed a few years back so you can't squat in residential properties, only commercial. He works but has no real expenses but better yet he's turned the squatting thing into a bit of a hustle. Often landlords can't be bothered to go through a lengthy court case due to the time and money lost, so they reach an agreement with the squatters and pay them to leave. He's made more than a few stacks do this.
