Some people are there for extended periods, and I believe if they didn’t have some security in the garages, they would be sitting ducks for car thefts and catalytic converters thefts. Even if you got an alert that your car was being broken into, chances are you’re not making it out of the hospital maze to get there in time

Think about it; a lot of hospitals are part of university systems, so if the university charges for its parking, then the hospital probably will as well. In most big cities, it’s hard to find free parking anywhere downtown.
