It was already in motion + prolly a good escape from Gillie from the death of his son... likely brought a lil bit of joy in his life in this dark time 
I’m sure he was getting showered with love and support all night …so not sure how that’s a bad thing
Its damn near impossible to have a current music fest in this culture thats full of positive vibes and uplifting lyrics. This is what you gonna get, IG comedians, rachets twerking and a bunch of former dope boys screaming about how many different ways they will murder you. Gillie is a entertainer and he knows "the show must go on"
