Yea the bay is on another level. It's so bad out there they pay in n out employees $15/hr. Lowkey the "hustle" in the bay is living in your grandma rent controlled crib. Otherwise it's 
for the average cat. Oakland rent is even over 2 stacks for new leases now days. Or at least that's what a black uber driver who picked me up in a 7 series told me last time i was out there.....and no i didn't order black car service or nothing. the bay so wild nikkas in 7 series is putting miles on they whip to drive for uber for extra bread 
The funny thing about NYC dudes growing up is they would always be moving to my city, then talking about how you had to hustle to survive in nyc and nyc was so much better than my hometown etc
i'm looking at these nikkas like so why you HERE then? NYC so great and yet your parents had to move here cause they couldn't make it in ny?
and this was in the 90s when black people could still afford to live in Brooklyn. that nyc as hustlers paradise talk is dead now. too many cats getting pushed out they own neighborhoods moving to paterson nj and shyt
