First, they convinced everyone that you're supposed to spend 3 months salary on a worthless gem stone that no one wanted before, if you want to get married.

Then they convinced people that even though we can make synthetic diamonds that are MORE CLEAR than natural diamonds, the dirtier natural diamond are more valuable.

NOW, they're pushing even dirtier brown diamonds as "chocolate" diamonds

In 50 years they'll be selling coal jewelry as the "Retro Collection"

Meanwhile a coworker damn near paid for all her rings, she has the engagement ring, and two diamond bands I’m 100% sure she paid for all of that...they bought a home but guess whose name is on the mortgage cause the other spouse’s credit is fukked up


She is carrying all the financial weight but she has big diamonds tho

I wish a lot of women understood your post and there are some many other gems that are as durable as diamonds to pick from...we have to divest the demand in order to see change.
