That was an UNREAL time in music.

Now, you're lucky to even see $5K :damn:

Triumph was 1.7 million or something. I think the most expensive video ever at the time, def most expensive hip hop video til Busta made that song with Janet Jackson. Triumph had NO hook, 9 MCs on one track and it was #1 I think.

you're NOT "n!ggas"

Blame the internet :to:

I remember actually really looking forward to new videos back in the day. Watching Mtv and BET nonstop

Hype Williams on a good budget = :ohlawd:

Word. I can only imagine how much those Bad Boy videos were costing... shiny suits, speedboats and all... Diddy was driving in REVERSE with motorcycles and helicopters on the chase in "Hypnotize" :damn: Master P and the No Limit soldiers dunking over a "gold platinum tank"?! :mindblown: those days will NEVER come back again. I'm just glad I got to see the rise and fall :wow:

Having everything at your fingertips with the click of a mouse >>>>>>>> being force fed music/entertainment by kike run tv/radio stations and record labels.

Yeah
It really wasn't, considering how many albums artist sold. Labels not spending 500k on videos is 1 of the reasons why hip hop is irrelevant album sales wise now a days. No actual money goes into developing an artist.
Yup there's 0 a&r dev camps in music anymore for the exception of Disney.

Which makes a lot sense why some of the biggest artist/and actors come out of the Disney/nickelodeon boot camp.

Britney
Justin
Ryan gosling
Ariana
Lindsey Lohan
Miley
Etc

The only place perfecting this model is Korea. Funny tho that the company who runs the development camps there are Warner Bros.

The show making the band was originally based off of the behind the scenes look of "development of stars" before Diddy took it and just used as a cash out.

I really miss the days of being hype for seeing a music video premiere. I've been out the loop for years since I don't watch tv anymore. I remember when this premiered and I was :ooh: in the living room and seeing Chris Tucker in it repping the DEC :krs:...my stepdad was like seeing me reminded him of sitting at home as kid waiting for the new MJ video to premiere...RIP MJ

$4 million estimated

This is not the reason hippop is irrelevant album sales wise.

The internet is the reason all albums are irrelevant album sales wise
