The fact that Vince literally pushed one of the top 3 wrestlers on the planet still in his prime(tail end)out of his company to his competition.:mindblown:

Bret Hart was a fukking national treasure for Canada and vince just said fukk it and gave him the:camby:

That could've really bit him in the ass if WCW wasn't so stupid, that should've opened up a money trail for WCW all in Canada.

Hart foundation was cooking and he was easily the best heel in the game, and still showed how great he was in WCW during his feuds with Sting & DDP.

I've always liked Shawn way more than him but i don't know if i would've chose him over Bret when it came down to it.

Bret was old and that contract would have killed WWF, it's not an option that Vince wanted to take it was HIS ONLY OPTION. IF anything it shows how good of a business man he is than anything else.

Didn't Vince & Bret already restructure that contract to where he could pay it

I think so but he still wanted out of it. He had given dude a lifetime contract and then realized he didn't want to he tied to him at the amount of money he signed him for. Bret wasn't going to less money and Vince wasn't going to pay him all of it because he realized it was a dumb contract to make. Look at what he gave him and now look at what he gives these legends now and he can still use them in the same way but at a much smaller fraction of money.

Vince jumped the gun hoping that Bret wouldn't jump then realized he fukked himself and did what he had to do to get out of it.

This is one of the reasons I still think it's a work because Bret could have done nothing and just fought in court to get his money but he played the game. When Vince said "go back and see what you can get" he could have just told him to fukk off because he had the best contract he could ever get already. Vince doesn't pay and he sues

I know the wcw deal was at 3 mil a year, what was the 20 year deal he did with wwf worth?

October 20, 1996 McMahon, determined not to lose a very public fight, offered him the famous 20-year contract where he'd, after retirement in about three years, become almost a first lieutenant when it came to the booking process. Hart would earn somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.5 million per year as an active wrestler, and a healthy but far lesser figure working the front office for the 17 years after retirement as an active wrestler.

September 8, 1997 - Vince McMahon and Bret Hart had their first meeting where McMahon seriously approached Hart about his contract. About three months earlier, McMahon had told Hart that the company was in bad financial straights and that they might have to defer some of the money until later in the contract. This time his approach was more point blank. He wanted to cut Hart's regular salary, around $30,000 per week, more than in half and defer the rest of the money until later in the contract period when hopefully the company would be in better shape financially.

September 22, 1997 - On the day of the Raw taping at Madison Square Garden, McMahon told Bret Hart flat out that they were going to intentionally breach his contract because they couldn't afford the deal. He told a shocked Hart that he should go to World Championship Wrestling and make whatever deal he could with that group.
He had to give notice by November 1st if he wanted to leave and
At 7 p.m. Bischoff called again and presented a deal that, according to Hart, "would have been insane not to be taken."

I think Taker & HHH get more than that now. That wouldn't have been a bad deal for him if he "had the money" to pay it.

I could've swore Shawn said he was making more than Bret too

Why didn't they just let Bret lose beforehand they knew him and Shawn had heat they aint have no one to transition title to him
What i don't understand is how they never let Austin get his win over Bret if they knew Bret was leaving.
