21440 lets not forget your gas food unexpected tire change etc youre now under 20,000 o don't forget your

insurance. Now the guy making 10 a hr is about 19,200 a year after irs get their cut its 17000 but the guy who

makes 10 hr cant afford the car payment so he driving his 95 Toyota camry but its paid for and cheaper

maintenance. So all and all the guy making 20 making the same as someone making 10

Some people like that they can afford a car note etc. you can't get a mortgage making $10 a hour breh. So you would prefer $19200 a year BEFORE TAXES over $40000

No you probably cant get a mortgage but you paying less taxes and cheaper electricity in the end you either paying to look good or not paying at all

Depends on your situation.

If you're single w/no kids and don't live in NY/Cali, then you're winning if you make 20+. If you live in some ridiculously expensive area like NY or have kids/child support to worry about, not so much. Personally I didn't pass the 20/hr barrier until my late 20s, and I graduated college in my early 20s (during the recession ).
