Na
Do you just ignore them but get ready if there's an issue? And only say shyt if they start advancing towards you
Or

Tell them immediately to chill

Me, I do not want to escalate crazy people
But I can see wanting to be in control of the situation

Scan your surroundings, then cross the street if the crazy person is by himself.

It could be a set up, with somebody else working with him....and the crazy person is supposed to distract you.

Bend your arms, keep walking and get ready to square up.

And this nikka asked if I wanted to buy some weed
I'm like nah
Nikka says you look you just got out of jail, what you doing with that mask on?
And says it over and over

He leaves the store and I get my shyt and pay for gasim pumping and he's in his car and starts talking shyt about my car

I keep my eyes on him and he drives off

Depends on the mood I'm in. I will usually tell people to calm down. If they don't, I will hit them if they get in range.

If I'm not in a good mood and I sense that they're being slick, I will match their tone.

If someone is off mentally, I will just ignore them.

Folks acting like they can't just immediately diffuse 95% of situations by simply walking away.

I have nothing to prove to anybody.

Was in a gas station and there was an obviously mentally ill dude standing by the door who started trash talking. But he didn't just do it to me. He did it to everybody who walked in. I just ignored him, handled my business and dipped.

If he put his hands on me, that's another story. But 95% of the time, that aint even gon happen

When I was growing up there was this white guy in the area who would just be in the street shouting all kinds of abuse at anyone who passed. You’d see this guy all busted up with black eyes and shyt but he never cooled out

My Dad is a serious guy. I got stabbed as a teenager, I didnt find out till years later that after he took me to the hospital he drove around til he found the bredda that stabbed me and fukked him up. He always taught me if a man ever disrespects you guve him a reason to never try that shyt again

One time (I musta been 7 or 8) crazy white guy got all in my Dad face calling us n*ggers and shyt. My Dad let him finish, looked him dead in eye for a few seconds then took my hand and we walked away.

Afterwards I told my Dad he shoulda knocked him out. My Dad said ‘That man is mentally ill. He can’t control the way he behaves, it’s not his fault.’

I think that’s the reason I’d had patience when I’ve had similar encounters later in life
