I used to work with animals and I still say to this day I'd rather deal with an aggressive pit than an aggressive cat any day of the week.

Cats will scratch you, claw, bite you and are hard to keep a hold of. If you can yoke a dog up, even a pit, by his collar or nape of their neck and pin 'em down there's not much they can do to you without biting.
