You telling me people actually believe Bird is better than Bron?

There used to an argument. Back when LBJ was crying to his mom after getting handled by Orlando and struggling with Boston.

There really is no argument now though.

Passing I'd put equal. Both are gifted at that.

Bird could vacillate between SF and PF as well. And that was in a league that was much more big man oriented.

The only clear advantage would be in defense at least IMO.

Bron might the best SF ever if he goes ahead and 3 peats.

Yea but bird was never known for his defense, bron can guard point and power forward with relative success.

if bron 3 peats hes top 5 ever in my book

I honestly don't think its close anymore. He doesn't even need to play anymore and I'd say he's the best 3 ever until someone even better comes along.

Crazy thing is that his current team isn't even all that particularly tailored to him. He could be doing even more.

Bird has a slightly better resume... But Bron should pretty much eclipse Bird in that category within the next 2 years, especially if he gets another ring + finals mvp this year.

Overall impact on offense is pretty much equal; both can score, are willing passers with high bball iq. Bird was a better shooter and rebounder, Bron is stronger and more athletic. Brons versatility and overall impact on defense puts him ahead of Bird to me:yeshrug:.

Another ring or 2 and finals MVPs with elite stats would only make it easier to validate.

Bird was teamed up with 3 other hall of famers:mindblown:

Ainge and Mchale and anybody else on title Celtic teams in 80's was not on Dwayne Wade or Bosh level as far as help is concerned stop it...you can make that case with Magic Johnson more than Bird

they even got bench players that were stars on teams before like birdman
