MJ had to deal with that early in his career. Back when Jordan was beasting up statistically, but getting put out, nobody was calling him the GOAT. They even said a guy who leads the league in scoring couldn't really be a winner like that. He proved all of them wrong.

Championships WITH great numbers have ALWAYS been the standard. ALWAYS. Michael had to deal with it and players before him had to do it as well.

Blaming this on Jordan and Kobe fans shows that you don't know your history. The NBA didn't start in the 90s, and players were virtually ALWAYS held to that standard. How else do you determine who is the best other than by who is the most productive individually along with the championship wins? The object of the game is to win, not just compile great individual stats.
