It’s very easy to not be able to make the girls trip this time, or unable to join the $100 fantasy football league that week, or can’t get to the club that pay period, and be left out the next go around. No one wants to feel excluded and will exclude themselves first

problem is really rent too high really.

could get an apartment for like 800 back in the day. a car was like $3000 to $5000. that was the foundation for chillin especially in the summer time.

an Italian cheeseburger was like 3.25... them joints like $8 now. aint no more dollar menu. i feel bad for these kids

Wack shīt is this gen, like the last couple before them, plan events that cost too much $ from the jump.

This gen is just saying fůck it and not going while the ones before would spend the money knowing damn well it was going to hurt their pockets.

In present day you have broke people still trying to rock like it’s 20 years ago, plan pricey trips, parties and dinners just for optics and clout on IG. Some can afford it, the vast majority simply can’t.

If you have younger cousins and nephews in their early 20s or late teens you really see how broke they are. A lot aren’t working or just sit around in their self-built delusional world acting like they don’t see the price of everything being crazy. Add that with their trash social skills and you have a gen that’s largely slated to just be grown ass bums

Gen Z are broke because their Gen X parents and Gen Y cousins rather act like Birdman or some IG clout demon like Future for 'likes' and attention from superficial thots. Even in those Love and Hip Hop reality TV shows, they never show a Honda or a Toyota on the road in between scenes. Just high end Bentleys and Rolls Royces.

Life is expensive now.

I see a lot of "Why don't they just hang out at home?"
Do you realize how many people either live with parents or lots of roommates because it is so expensive?
