Young Buck will avoid time behind bars after entering a plea deal, ahead of his trial on domestic assault, vandalism and possession of a weapon charges.
According to ABC affiliate WKRN, Buck has been sentenced to eight years of community corrections after pleading guilty to domestic assault charges and a felony gun charge. The rapper is required to take an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days of the date of the agreed upon plea deal. He must also forfeit all seized property.
Buck did receive pretrial jail credit for serving 30 days in jail last year for "repeated violations of his bond supervision."
Buck's trial was scheduled to begin on January 12 after a judge granted his attorney's request for an extension due to health reasons.
The charges stem from a 2020 incident involving his then girlfriend, Lucresia Neil, who was charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon for firing a gun at him. His arrest resulted in protesters standing outside of the courthouse, calling the situation "political and police corruption."
