Shame, how 50 caught feelings like that. Young Buck had potential to be one of the south goat's on a mainstream level. He actually went in to the booth and gave people his real life and not a fake fairy tale like rick ross or somebody. Buck made the best music out that camp

A lake near Tampa FL
He had the dopest verses on Beg for Mercy.

As for making the best music in the entire camp :patrice:, nah, 50 and Game is an ahead of him in that department IMO.

who did then?

Lloyd Banks and 50 easily made better music than Buck, Game when he was there did also(and when he left).

While BTW and Straight Outta Cashville are better than Rotten Apple, neither one of them are better than HFM 1. And lets not even bring up the countless classic mixtapes Banks has made.

I wouldn't really compare him with 50 though....you could but I never did. Buck gave you more of his real life than Banks, Banks was a better emcee no doubt but Buck gave you more passion in the booth on some Pac type records. Banks never really gave you too much first hand experience(all my street n1ggaz know what I'm talking about)

Game have a extensive catalog, couple good records to his sheet but Game was lost as an artist, no direction. He had bars but his music didn't connect the way it could have because it was too hit/miss with no real direction

Buck made the best music

Straight out of Cashville was better than H4M, even though H4M was a solid debut. They are two different type of artist, Banks came from the NY mix tape circuit so he did his punchline angle....he has a good number of real records in his catalog but not too much in real detail so even though he was a street rapper, the average guy in the streets in my opinion would relate to Buck's music more because it gives you that first hand account

[Young Buck]
I'm come from a small town where organized crime is the rule
You kill n1ggaz without permission, n1ggaz gon' kill you
We bang the rags too, red and blue
This sh1t ain't out only there on the west side fool
Surrounded by section eight houses in the projects
A place where you make the wrong turn, you get robbed at
We all targets, standin' out on the street corner
That's why you see the lil' kids with the heat on ‘em
Police pull out, hop out but they can't catch us
They never even get a chance to say “Drop your weapons”
Liquor stores never close, the whole hood high
N1ggaz know when it's war the whole hood ride
We on that Bishop in Juice sh1t
I put this fo'-five in yo' mouth like a toothpick, you b1tch
The south ain't safe no mo' so get a gun
And pray to God you make it to see twenty-one

[Verse Two: Young Buck]
I would light up a cancer stick, thinking how can I get
my momma out the bricks and my whole clique legit
Lil' Jimmy in the feds, it's just me and Sentez
We cuttin heads, doin whatever to buy a loaf of bread (GIMME DAT)
The high speed chases, I really loved it
to blow 50 G's and don't thank nothing of it
We showed love but wasn't no love showed back
Whoa Kemosabe (what happened) what part of the game is that?
It's a fact and my war wounds on me can prove it
But look how you made me go and show you I can do it (FO' SHO')
I solemnly swear to hold it down for my homeboys (WHAT?)
Locked up and don't know if they ever coming home boy
Time keeps tickin, another baby's born
That's gon' go through the same stuff that I went through and more
You wonder why I hustle, my life's on the line
My baby gotta have milk when she crying, c'mon Denaun

Buck was dope as fukk in G-Unit, but really shined when he left, thats when he put his heart even more onto the tracks, it's a shame he had to get left out like that by 50, or he didn't handle situations better.

Just because someone raps about their life more doesn't automatically equal better music. Banks was obviously the superior rapper and could hit you from different angles musically and had a great balance of topics whether it be songs for bytches, "real records", and gully shyt. Lets not act like all Banks did was spit hot punchlines and make music with no substance.

To each his own tho :yeshrug:

Classic Niccas
buck was cool but he was kinda generic. he definitely had the most to say out of that camp, but like @SpacelySprockets just stated, that's not the be all/end all.

1. 50
2. game
3. banks
4. buck
5. yayo

preferably speaking, banks was my favorite and the only one that I continued checking for after that weak "beg for mercy" album.
