He held up better than we all expected. Sucks to draw Fed in the first round but im sure he'll improve his ranking and will get a higher seed going forward

when Federer broke him in the 3rd game, i figured it was a wrap. we've seen plenty of guys end up losing that set 6-1 or 6-2. fed is just a poised veteran and the #GOAT. so when Tiafoe broke back, that was a sign of heart, imo.
naw, people always use this excuse, but I've seen that same New York crowd cheer for foreigners vs Serena Williams. it just is what it is man, we can all see it. they didn't start to give Serena REAL adulation until she was about to break the majors record
