this is to any nikkas saying big sean is better than meek. i'm not even a meek fan, but :stopitslime:

nikkas think big sean is corny. his only saving grace are the hos. i don't know any straight male rocking that nikka's music.

Flow - Sean

Originality - Sean

Relatability (IMO) - Meek

Concepts - Tie

Lyricism - Sean

I fukk wit Meek a little harder, but these are undeniable. Not saying I like certain things about Sean more than Meek, but I believe he edges him out in a few categories. Meek needs to up his subject matter/flow/rhyme schemes. It's getting played now.

sean's flow is homo. his content is homo. his personality is homo. i'm not sure where sean has any advantage, outside of the kanye co-sign, which didn't do shyt for his debut album.

Hm..I dunno about originality...at BEST you could give Sean rapping about finally becoming famous, but apart from that he rhymes about money and bytches just like any other mainstream "swag" rapper. And even his "Finally Famous" tip isn't all that original either, rapping about finally being able to make it out the hood and making money has been done over and over again ever since rap became popular. :yeshrug:

Relatability? Well that's more subjective, so I can't knock you for finding Meek more relatable...Meek pretty much came up from rapping on pixelated vids with fuzzy cornrows. Big Sean is relatable too...he's just a regular dude that finally made it in rap. I mean, sure he had to deviate from the "concious" tip he had when he was 12, but that's not the point :russ:

Lyricism? Well I could give that to Sean too...though I'll say that both him and Meek are pretty mediocre. Sean has whack punchlines and Meek has okay bars.

I would add that I prefer Seans delivery to Meek's.

Meek needs to up his subject matter/flow/rhyme schemes. It's getting played now.

Yup, yup. I agree with you. Meek needs better subject matter...I wish he could rhyme from a different perspective...less "I made it now I'm nuttin' on bytches in the back of my coup" and more about the hardships of being a street dude...sans the braggadocio.

Bolded would take him to the next level. He was on the tip of the iceberg with "Traumatized" but could've delved a little deeper.

Originality, I didn't necessarily mean subject matter. Neither one of these guys are Nas. But moreless, I meant flows, overall style, voice, etc. Sean just got that "it" about him, where even though he's a cornball, you can see why he resonates with this "swag" generation. Whereas even though Meek resonates with me more, I can't exactly say he's as original. I'm just being fair here. I'm not one of these guys who lets his taste get in the way of his rationality or opinion.

When I said relatability (IMO) I was referring to myself. Of course Seans relatable. I just relate more to Meek & what he rhyme about.

Why you leave out categories that Meek is way better in? It's not fair bruh.

Tbh I've only heard like 10 songs from Sean. But I left those categories out because for one, I can't really gague a man's passion, I didn't hear Seans album, and I never heard any tracks where Sean tell stories. That'd be like me comparing jump shots between Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. :ohhh:

I put passion in there because originality is big sean's edge while passion is Meek's.

Sean's first album came and went, didn't really have anything original on there except his flow while meek has some really great songs that, in my opinion, will be a part of his legacy.

Story telling is a big part of rap so you can't compare artists without it man. Nah, it's like comparing MJ to Karl Malone, different strengths but king rivalry :win:
