Do you realize that Drake is the type of product that probably requires a clause in the contract that prohibits someone from making an album with anyone else for a certain amount of time while making an album with him?

Not a fact but a speculation on my part, take it how you will. Reasoning being that they wouldn't want Drake associated with third-party artist by extension nor would they want any run-off of the buzz that would come from collaborating with Drake

However Young Thug and Drake's label OVO are both under the Warner umbrella so it could be advantageous for Warner

Drake is in a unique position as far as power because he has both Universal and Warner invested in his brand, via his own career and his label respectively

Also . . it might sound like I knock Drake on an artistic level but I respect him as a person and I like what he represents and what he's done for hip-hop. Also most importantly he paid homage to an underground influence of his (Mac Dre) without anything to gain from it, he just did it because it was the right thing to do and he felt compelled - that is the sign of an artist

Ya . . like Gucci Mane is performing in California at a festival next month. It seems him in California is a rare thing but I'd imagine the promoter wouldn't want him booking a second show outside of the festival cause people would go to that to see him instead of paying festival prices
