it was a passed ball, hence the hitter in the box showing/waving his hand telling the runner to come or stop. Catcher had to go get the ball, and threw it to the pitcher who covered home.

It's poorly edited but the ball got away from/behind the catcher and probably to the backstop. Pitcher runs home to cover the base and apply the tag as the catcher retrieves the ball and throws it to him. Pitcher gets there in time as does the ball from the catcher but the brehs footwork is too clean.
