Fact: Cena is BY FAR the biggest name and face in the bidness and moves the most merchandise then most of the roster combined

Now with that said, who replaces him and fills the void if he's to turn? Daniel Magnum TA Bryan? Roman personality of a door knob Reigns? Dolph mid card Ziggler? Bray Cartoon character Wyatt? Dean one note Ambrose? Realistically the only person alive who could fill that void is not a full time wrestler and is currently the biggest heel in the world, HHH. But he's not coming back at 45 to save the bidness, he already did his thang with the MOTY.

Who fills the void?

Sami Zayn because no one gets mid match sympathy like that dude

Adrian Nevile for kids that like acrobatics.

Finn Balor for people that like the facepaint and theatrics.

Hideo Itami for puro brehs who like a physical "real" style. (The longshot in this list due to his english just developing)

Ryback who is over and is more entertaining in a hospital bed than Cena has been in six years.

Seth Rollins whos devil may care style could carry him far, possibly into Jeff Hardy levels of over.

Thats just top of the dome breh.

Its not impossible to put someone on Cena level considering how much time, effort and push halts theyve invested in him.

Cena is the definition of a B+ player just with the neverending push.

That pop when he snuffed Triple H is undeniable and he was always over when he was a face. He just needs some character tweaks for a face run.

If Daniel Bryan comes back from injury, him. Dude is over with the smarks and the marks. Besides injury, there's no stopping the D-Bry hype train.

for the meantime maybe, that is until he becomes cena 2.0

the question isn't whether d-bry is over with the crowd, the question is will d-bry be able to draw MORE crowds. MORE eyes on the product.

Cena garnered a lot of attention through his work with the Make A Wish foundation. Daniel Bryan can do the same, example being with Connor the Crusher, and generate attention through talk shows. He's a likeable guy.

that's not what I'm talking about though.

point blank do you believe more people around the world would watch WWE if daniel bryan were pushed as its biggest star.

I'm pretty sure pro wrestling is at the point where the people who are watching it are going to watch it regardless. They just have to cater the show to keep those viewers so that they don't leave and can possibly introduce their friends/family to the product. It's not going back to the Attitude era viewership, if that makes any sense. Different time. That's just my opinion though :manny:

see I am of the belief that pro wrestling itself is still a beloved american sport, and that people are always going to watch it. sure it may have its ups and downs, but I think there will always be a place for it. remember what happened with hockey a few years back? shyt was lookin pretty bleak, but the league recovered.

I don't think people are sour on wrestling, I think they are sour on WWE. and they have every right to be because it's become an absolute fukkin shytshow.

personally I don't think putting the spotlight on Daniel Bryan would make the slightest difference. He's not money imo. He doesn't have that rock star appeal.

Every face run he's had has been a flop, let's see how long this tweener shyt lasts before he's cutting a promo thanking the fans for their support :mjlol:

I actually believe this, look at T:fif:A for example, shyt has been absolute trash for years but still doing the exact numbers, this is because the audience that's watching at this point is going to watch regardless of the product. The attitude era was the one time pro wrestling history where wrestling was considered "cool", Austin presenting at the 1999 VMA's was the ultimate sign of this. It's NEVER going back to that, doesn't matter how good the product is

orton definitely has a "cool" appeal but he's never done anything to convince me he has what it takes to be the man.
