I know you aren't a big Rondo fan and I can understand why, but the simple fact that they significantly upgraded the most important position on the floor puts them in consideration. Rondo is 10 times better offensively and defensively than Jameer could ever be.
Even if that were to be true, the trade doesn't really make them better, let alone make make the West the 'best it's been in years'. The lose key bench pieces and add a PG that really doesn't suit their style. Their offense has been succesful, because the ball has been in Monta's hands, who's always a threat to score and constantly probes any kind of defense, whether it be zone or man-to-man plus he's automatic from midrange once teams fold out from the elbow.
I really don't see how he can improve the best offense in the league, when the offenses he's led in his career have been average-to-worst in the league....
