  • Bounce music 808/Atlanta bass/party music - very early lil jon, kp end envy, freak nasty, dj smurf
  • The Player Movement - first album outkast, goodie mobb, JD, youngbloodz
  • The funk/dungeon family era - outkast, goodiemob, cool breeze,
  • Crunk movement - pastor troy, baby d, youngbloodz, lil jon, bone crusher, yin yang twinz, lil scrappy, trill ville
Btw - i recognize that troy predates his music but his angry sound, combined with lil jon slowing down miami bass helped create it
  • Trap music - jeezy, TI, Gucci Mane, boyz n da hood
  • Snap music - d4l, dem franchise boyz, yin yang twinz, yung joc
  • Unlabelled strip club music...current era - flocka, Future, 2chainz, soulja boy, cash out, young dro

Btw, the best crunk song nobody ever talks about was my nikka BABY D - ATL HOE

Was gonna vote for the "we finna beat yo ass/ No Mo Play in GA" era... then i saw you lumped Pastor Troy into Crunk.

that was Atlanta at it's best, raw...no traces of fakkitry, and proudly ignorant

I was trying to find a way to define that era seperate. But other than troy, and drama...who else was in it? U way era youngbloodz i guess...? They all moved on to make crunk music anyway...And arguably make the BEST of it (damn...this the city...etc)

New Orleans
Bounce music is 100% New Orleans has nothing to do with ATL

I enjoyed the crunk music the most but looking back I'd say trap music

Only era of ATL music that I don't like is the Snap through current era. Young Dro, Flocka, and some of Future's music is cool though. Joc had a few songs that I liked.

if you wanna count a one hit wonder like Archie Eversole in that mix, it'd fit....still hyper aggressive, but wasn't crunk.

Killer Mike's Monster album was more of that era, than it was of the Crunk era...so was Ghetto Extraordinary.

The Re-Akshun remix sounded more like trap music than Crunk for some reason

Of course the ATL
No such thing as Atlanta bounce

Crunk era was GOAT IMO b/c it involved everybody at the city at one point. Jon was everywhere, Tip did Crunk/trap in between "I'm serious" & the "In da Streets" mixtapes. Jeezy, Killer Mike, Pastor Troy, Scrappy, Trillville, Big Oomp All Stars :wow: Even OutKast (moreso Big Boi) could jump on a Crunk record (ie. Kryptonite w/Purple Ribbon All Stars).

GOAT era for me
