My cousin is going through it. Keep in mind this is taking place in todays job market.

She’s about 5 days past due to the point where the doctors are trying to convince them to induce.

He took some time off from work….contract work, to fly back home with his wife because she wanted to give birth where she will be immediately close to family…as opposed to flying with a new born. Everything would have aligned if the baby was born on time.

Problem is he already extended his time off to the point where they are saying if you don’t come back in the next few days then don’t come back at all. I’m sure they said it nicer way.

He makes $150,000 per year with zero education on top of doing a 5 year state vacation a few years ago so it’s good money. He’s worried that if he gets fired that he won’t be able to land another job like this again BUT they (the couple) don’t want to induce because according to him that will stress the baby and something about a C section.

You risking steady work by being there for your first born or we saying f them kids and you’ll see the little bundle of joy at a later date?

She don’t work 🤲🏾

Why can’t they induce?

What do they mean “stress the baby”- what is the doctor saying and what are they just making up?

And yes he gonna have to go, unfortunately but they need to induce and stop being hardheaded. Trump ain’t playing with Medicaid so I’m sure his wife will get over it if she realizes poverty is a worse fate.

Edit oh I misread the husband is away, on contract work oh hell no he has to get back. I still don’t get why they don’t induce and should have made that call a few days ago.

A. Stay to see his baby born for 15 mins and get fired, lose $150k career and struggle to feed said baby (go on job hunt, etc.)

B. Go back to work and wait for the damn baby to come back so you can love it, raise it, provide for it, etc.

B, Zero question…. Shouldn’t even be any confusion :gucci:

Why can’t your cousin take 2 weeks off? And yeah, he needs to take his ass back to work……. and I’m guessing his company doesn’t do paternity leave either…. Not sure what’s going on in this situation since she already moved out of the state he works in…

My wife was telling me so by the time the story got me it was probably mismatched about half dozen times. Also they tend to forego medical advice and opt to “do their own research” :francis:

He’s already extended his time off and nope no Pat leave.

They live together out of state but all their family is in another state so they flew back a couple weeks or so before the baby was due.

If they don't induce :mjtf:
I was an induced baby and had/have no major health issues

Wife is gonna resent him for not being there but will DEF resent his ass being unemployed with a new baby. Inducing is a win-win

Induce and take that ass back to work

I'ma keep it g-real with you.

He should have been dikkin her down a day or two before the due date. They wanted to induce with my first child but then I read semen can soften the cervix and induce labor and I started fukking her right there in the hospital bed. Cleared that shyt right up.
