They don't need to all to be in your program cause chances they may know someone that has connection in the field that you are interested. Since you just graduated, make use of the alumni services so that you still have the close school connect because thats is where you will have easy access to a types of people . You are going to have to promote yourself like crazy. Have you ever considered golfing, your extracurricular and volunteer activities are just as important because you see potential employers ans connected people in a relax atmosphere.I actually deleted my LinkedIn.
Most of my friends from school aren't in my program except like three. A black girl, an Asian girl and an Asian dude.
The Asian dude was the one in my club/right hand man. He works for td in some operational type shyt...And the asian chick got an acctg job with Deloitte.
Black chick had a youte so she's finishing this yr.

Thanks for the kind words. I will def find a way...still young so no reason to be so pessimistic. It's hard to explain but overall i wanted to get away from wasting time on things that havent helped me get to where I need to be. I just think it's a waste of time. Professionals themselves dont even really check it. One time i met a woman from Siemens at a networking event. Added her to linkedin and requested a meet up time. She agreed. I asked when she'd be free...she didnt answer. Thats the type of shyt that makes it a waste of time...i even try to target nikkas but they ignore the messagesYou are intelligent I am sure you can find a way. That's the spirit...I like your drive. But you still need to make income on your way and will need to pitch your idea. I have to say you give me a lot of encouragement as I am trying to figure my own career path. I have always leaned to the entrepreneurial side myself. Thanks for the kind words. I dont care that much to be honest anymore. With every interview i dont get the job I gravitate that much more closely to the entrepreneurial route. I might say fukk it and go for broke on this project my brother a friend and I are working on. Everybody I've showed the idea/mockups think its some revolutionary shyt with high potential. Some of my good friends from school such as the asian and a white dude with a BSc now getting his MBA are waiting on me likewanting to know what I have in store. Asian dude says if I move out west...to give him two years at his current job and hell join me. Like I said, my compadres all salute me...even my current manager be on some
at the stuff I do in the office. But the jobs I do want..the companies I want to work for dont see it so fukk em.
I'm coming at they neck.
One good thing is that the company i work for (Best Buy) is actually based in burnaby, BC. So one thing Ima do is really kiss ass even more towards the end and try to leverage myself a position in the head officeThat's the spirit...I like your drive. Lord knows.
I've prepared for hours for some of these jawns.
I've webcammed myself practicing answers
Lord knows I'm fresher than a muhh when I walk into the room
I'm tired of shaving my beard
I've left interviews feeling and knowing that it couldnt have possibly went any better. Didnt make the final round
I've been in interviews where I'm in a suit talking to people in jeans and an american eagle polo...not even making eye contact with me
I've left interviews feeling like it coulda gone better...but this job I have now was one of them.
I am clueless...and too broke/prideful/cynical to even pay for one of them coaches.![]()
